9.2 Partial ATI
If the ATI Select bit is set to Partial ATI, the touch
threshold for CH2 is the same as for CH1 (see
Section 7.1, CH2âs touch threshold is now also
set in Bank 0). If the ATI bit is not set (default),
CH2 has its own touch threshold. The same
applies to the Proximity channelâs base value,
which is not set in the ï¬rst two bits of Bank 1
anymore. Instead, the ï¬rst 5 bits of Bank 1,
changes to Multiplier bits (both Sensitivity and
Compensation). Setting the partial ATI bit is
useful for production devices (after prototyping
has revealed the correct setup) as it decreases
the start-up time of the IC, since the full ATI al-
gorithm is not implemented at from a cold-start.
