*These are reï¬ective type transducers based upon detecting the intensity of reï¬ected light. RC Model sensors
have a pair of adjacent ï¬beroptic detectors in the sensor tip. Light reï¬ected off the target follows two separate
paths back to the electronics where a ratiometric calculation provides the distance measurement which is inde-
pendent of varying surface reï¬ectance; i.e., reï¬ectance compensated.
