Intel G41 Chipset
This platform is built around the
Intel G41 chipset and it sup-
ports a variety of different Intel
processors. FW-7581 is highly
customizable for meeting most of
the demands in today’s business
environment. It can be used for
load balancing, or as an unified
communication (VoIP), a firewall,
UTM or even as a network router.
High Port Density
The FW-7581 comes with 1 FE
and 6 GbE ethernet ports, of
which one pair can be used as
abnormal state packet bypass.
Up to 4 GB of Memory
The FW-7581 can be expanded to
support a maximum of 4 Giga-
bytes of RAM with 2 additional
240p DIMM slots.
PCIe Expansion
Fitted with the (x) 8 lane archi-
tecture PCI-E expansion slot, the
FW-7581 accepts 3rd party PCI
cards for customized applications
and can be personalized to
support any network need.
Watchdog
The embedded watchdog moni-
tors the system so that it can
automatically trigger a reset if
software hangs. This is an essen-
tial feature of a network appli-
ance.
