Electromagnetic Interference (EMI)
Equipment incorporating gigabit transceivers is typically
subject to regulation by the FCC in the United States,
CENELEC EN55022 (CISPR 22) in Europe and VCCI in
Japan. The AFCT-57J5ATPZ’s compliance to these
standards is detailed in Table 1. The metal housing and
shielded design of the AFCT-57J5ATPZ minimizes the EMI
challenge facing the equipment designer.
EMI Immunity (Susceptibility)
Due to its shielded design, the EMI immunity of the AFCT-
57J5ATPZ exceeds typical industry standards.
Flammability
The AFCT-57J5ATPZ optical transceiver is made of metal
and high strength, heat resistant, chemical resistant and
UL 94V-0 flame retardant plastic.

Performance
Class 2 (> 2000 Volts)
Typically, no damage occurs with 25 kV when
the duplex LC connector receptacle is
contacted by a Human Body Model probe.
10 contacts of 8 kV on the electrical faceplate
with device inserted into a panel.
Air discharge of 15 kV (min.) contact to
connector without damage.
System margins are dependent on customer
board and chassis design.
Typically shows no measurable effect
from a 10 V/m swept from 10 MHZ to 1 GHz.
