ADBS-A320 Datasheet, PDF (3/55 Pages) AVAGO TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED – Optical Finger Navigation
Overview of Optical Sensor Assembly
Avago Technologies provides an IGES file drawing de-
scribing the cover plate molding features.
The components interlock as they are mounted onto
defined features on the cover plate.
The ADBS-A320 sensor is designed for surface mounting
on a PCB, looking up. There is an aperture stop and
features on the package that align to the lens.
The lens provides optics for the imaging of the surface as
well as illumination of the surface at the optimum angle.
Features on the lens align it to the sensor and cover plate.
Contamination must be kept away from the lens. During
assembly process, it is recommended to use a minimum of
a 10K clean room environment or equivalent laminar flow
workbench. See Application note OFN A320 Assembly
Guide for more details on process flow.
