HD-SDI Tri-Level Sync Generator
The Opticomm HD-SDI Tri-Level Sync
Generator accepts an input of an
uncompressed HD-SDI signal at 1.485Gbps
(per SMPTE 292) and outputs a locally
generated genlocked Tri-Level Sync
reference signal as well as a loopback of the
HD-SDI input. The generator will
accommodate any HD Tri-Level Sync frame
type defined under SMPTE 274, 295 and
296.
The Tri-Level Sync can be used as a
genlocked reference signal for HD
braodcast and professional AV applications.
The OT-HD-TRLSC-IC card would generally
be used in conjunction with the Opticomm
Optiva™ series optical communication
platform. The card would typically be
placed at the receive end of the HD-SDI
uncompressed communication path to
output a local sync for immediate reference.
System Design
All units come in an insert card version.
The cards can be inserted into our 16-slot,
19" rack-mountable card cage (OT-CC-16-
100) or one of our smaller Optiva™ Desktop
Card Racks (OT-DTCR Series).
The Desktop Card Racks can handle one,
two or four insert cards, creating compact,
mountable, stand alone systems. The use of
separate DTCR enclosures allows for future
flexibility and expansion as all cards are hot-
swappable and can be used in any
enclosure. Each one of our card housing
units comes with an appropriate power
supply. See "Accessories" for power supply
specifications.
